Interplay Dance Collective
Mission
Interplay Dance Collective is a pre-professional contemporary dance company founded by choreographers Renee Kester and Sophy Zhao. Created for young dancers with a passion for growth, Interplay provides a unique space to strengthen contemporary technique, explore artistic voice, and expand understanding of the broader dance world.
Dancers participate in regular classes and rehearsals that emphasize both technical refinement and creative exploration, preparing them for future opportunities in performance and beyond. To broaden perspectives, Interplay invites guest teachers in a wide range of contemporary and commercial styles, giving dancers valuable exposure to the diversity of today’s dance industry.
